Welcome Note

... our actual challenge is to bring together scientific and industrial visions of Nutrigenomics to discuss the ways to reach the ultimate aim which is cosumer health improvement...

Dear Colleagues,

For the first time, The European Nutraceutical Institute (ENI), The International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition & Health (ISANH), The International Society on Preventive Medicine (ISPM), The French Society for Antioxidants (SFA), The Japanese Society for Antioxidants (JSA) and The University of Malta organize an international meeting with high level scientists and professionals to give an overview of Nutrigenomics and its perspectives and applications in nutrition and health. The future impact of this complex domain is still poorly understood by industrials. Thus our objective is to bring answers and to give a future vision of how Nutrigenomics can promote our nutrition and help to prevent diabetes, obesity, neurodegenerative diseases and especially aging. The aim of the event is to bring face to face the Scientific vision and the Industrial vision of Nutrigenomics field, gathering specialists from academic and industrial world invovled in this emerging field. Two sessions will be held :

  • Session 1: Scientific Vision of Nutrigenomics: Actual State and Last Advances
  • Session 2: Industrial vision of Nutrigenomics: Innovations, perspectives & limits
We will try to bring answers to following questions:
  • How integrate and interpret Nutrigenomics analysis?
  • Are the different levels of molecular analysis a limit of Nutrigenomics approach?
  • How combine data from transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics to describe the biologic effect of nutrients?
  • How bypass the difficulties of data interpretation?
  • What are the implications of innovations for development and manufacturing?
  • How integrate new technologies in Nutrigenomics?
  • Nutrigenomics technologies: limitation in personal development food?
  • What are the validity and potential values of Nutrigenomics?
  • How this emerging concept could impact the industry?
  • What is the cost of Nutrigenomics strategy?
A Roundtable discussion with speakers and the scientific committe will treat the following items:

Personalized nutrition: New wave for disease prevention and wellbeing: science or fiction? Synergies and confrontations between the scientific & industrial visions of Nutrigenomics and the place of the consumer

We look forward to welcome you in Paris for this particular event.
